The Sorrento Peninsula

The Sorrentine Peninsula is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Italy thanks to its marvelous natural scenery. Protruding into the Tyrrhenian sea and almost touching the island of Capri, it extends from Castellammare di Stabia to Punta Campanella, the watershed between the bays of Naples and Salerno.

Art and tradition characterize the numerous towns, among which the most famous is Sorrento: nestled on a massive cliff facing the sea, this charming town preserves important medieval and classical testimonials, which is combined with the architecture of the Renaissance and Baroque periods.

It must be mentioned that there are places suitable for the wellness tourism in this attractive area, such as the thermal properties of Vico Equense, one of the most picturesque areas of the coast. But the beauty of this land rather lies in its fascinating nature, the coast road is one of the wonders of the Italian landscape.
The coast is steep, rugged and rocky and curve after curve offers those incredible views upon the Bay of Naples.
